Dr. Gowri Ramnarayan is a multi-faceted personality with an immense contribution to Indian performing arts, literature and culture. She is a musician, playwright, theatre director, writer, journalist, and columnist.

Gowri has been a vocal accompanist to Smt M.S. Subbulakshmi for over a decade.

As an author, Gowri Ramnarayan has written several books for children - Abu’s World, Abu’s World Again and Past Forward. She has also published translations of plays.
