What a Lovely Day to Feel Beautiful

So, you wake up on this sunny morning, wondering what’s so beautiful about the day ahead! Don’t forget you are the sunshine, and you can make every day beautiful! A beautiful day has nothing to do with perfection, but it has everything to do with how beautiful you feel within!

Start your day by wearing your smile. Remember, smiles are contagious, they brighten your face ad are instant ice-breakers!  Smiles are heart-warming, magnetic, cheerful and a smile doesn’t cost you anything! The day just gets better when you approach it with a smile, and you never know whose day you could brighten with your smile! Smiling makes you feel good about yourself.

The minute you feel good about yourself, your confidence soars. Being self-confident not only makes you feel beautiful from within, but alters the way you see beauty in all that surrounds you. Remember, self-confidence does not have anything to do with perfection. Loving yourself the way you are, is the secret mantra for boosting your self-esteem and confidence.

“One important key to success is self-confidence. An important key to self-confidence is preparation.” – Arthur Ashe

Focus on the positives in your life. For a start, every morning, try to jot down three things that you think are positive. These could be positive things that happened yesterday, you think may happen today or things you are grateful for in your life. When you concentrate on the positives, gratitude becomes a by-product, and being grateful definitely warms the cockles of your heart, making you feel beautiful.

Being grateful is a wonderful way of counting your blessings. People out there are fighting their battles you know nothing about. It’s not about feeling one-up because you don’t have their problems, but it’s about being grateful for all that you have got in life. This can certainly alter your perspective, making you feel beautiful from within and shifting your focus onto what you do have, rather than lament about what you don’t have.

Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions…

If you feel beautiful from within, you will also gravitate towards people who make you feel good. Try to surround yourself with people who are happy and positive. It’s important you consciously try to move away from people who tend to bring you down or trample upon you. It may not always be possible, but you can try to touch base with at least one positive person every day.

Add a generous helping of laughter to season your life. Talk to friends who make you laugh, enjoy a funny film, read a joke that tickles your funny bone, play with a pet or do silly things with kids. There are umpteen choices you can make. Doing fun things or things that add joy to your day, can also be a feel-good factor. Admire the beauty of a flower, marvel at dewdrops glistening in the sun or meet friends who are fun to be with.

You don’t have to wear a Sarangi sari to feel beautiful; but it helps…
