Soothing hues of sapphire and cerulean blue add character to this Maheshwari silk-cotton sari. Seared horizontally into three, it radiates a vivid blue at the centre and subdued panels on either side. A ribbed silver stripe and midnight black define the border. The sapphire blue pallu is stencilled with stripes in navy, silver, black and charcoal to create magical shades of blue.

These silk-cotton, handloom products are woven in and around Maheshwar in central India. Their essence is in the combination of silk in warp and cotton in weft, with a hint of zari in the borders and pallus, which make them ideal for all seasons and occasions.
