The body of this Maheshwari silk-cotton sari is dusted with cinnamon powder and etched with fine checks in midnight black. The double-sided border is a duet of gold and black stripes. The selvedge dipped in chilly red adds a splash of colour. The checks overflown to the pallu, emboldened by stripes in black, red, charcoal, ivory and a swoop of diluted pink.
