Have you ever felt the queen’s gentle touch? The first Maheshwari fabric was possibly designed by the visionary Rani Ahilyabai Holkar. She inspired weavers to create the finest of fabrics as gifts for royal guests. The same finesse is reflected in the airy, light-weight silk-cotton dupattas in the Weaves of Rehwa collection, presented by Sarangi.

These silk-cotton, handloom products are woven in and around Maheshwar in central India. Their essence is in the combination of silk in warp and cotton in weft, with a hint of zari in the borders and pallus, which make them ideal for all seasons and occasions. Known for their vibrant colours in the body and pallus, these are lightweight and are popular for their reversible borders and indigenous motifs (buttis).

At Sarangi we curate sarees, accessories and fabrics having contemporary design aesthetics and deep-rooted artisanal values, from around the country.

When you shop at Sarangi, you express your preference for "slow fashion" as opposed to fast fashion; you show that you lean towards "classics" over trendy designs; and also make evidence of your fine taste. Sarangi is created with you in mind.
