The body in earthy and raw Tussar coloured silk, has a rich, coarse texture. The border on both ends is a row of stencilled, squat pyramid motifs in gold and a check border in cinnamon brown, chilly red and fresh coriander green. Horizontal stripes in green chilly red on the pallu are super-imposed with a close knit temple and leaf pattern in gold, lending it a soft sheen.
