Split into horizontal panels, the top panel is smeared with haldi paste and sprinkled with motifs in powdered supari. The central panel boasts of stencilled checks on kumkum red silk, lending it an unusual textured appearance. The third panel in purple is emblazoned with peacock motifs in gold. Wide gold stripes add a defining touch, whilst the double-sided border is in purple and gold. Diagonal gold stripes smother the purple pallu in a gold sheath.
